As you may recall from our bio on Subvert, we’re mildly disconcerted over the fact that Brad Ingelsby hasn’t contacted us to be on season two of Task yet, but we did get a chance to play at The Mill at Rockdale, which, coincidentally or not, is where a scene from the show was filmed.

To commemorate the event, we’ve written a scene that he can slot into pretty much any episode…

Establishing shot: The Cobramobile pull into the parking lot of an industrial park in ASTON, PA. Chainlink fence surrounds the perimeter. Every six feet, a yellow warning sign in bold print reads CAUTION: BANK FALLING INTO CREEK.

CUT TO: Interior: Cobramobile.

Marc: What’s that all about?

Jim: Caution: Bank Falling into Creek.

Marc: Yeah, but who builds a bank on a creek?

Nick: I could see an ATM.

Marc: Yeah, sure, an ATM, but an entire bank?

Jim: You’re just asking for trouble at that point.

Marc: Exactly. It’s their own damn fault.

Nick: Hubris.

Marc: Hubris, indeed, my friend. The very same hubris that often undermines the grandest of criminal conspiracies.

Jim: Hey, look! It’s Task!

DelCobras roll down the windows of the Cobramobile.

All: Hey Task!

Task: Hey guys. I hear you’re playing at the Mill tonight. I need you to be on the lookout for some bad guys.

Jim: No worries, Task. We’re on it.

END SCENE

From there we could cut to DelCobras playing at the Mill while some kind of criminal conspiracy goes down. We’ll let Brad Ingelsby figure that part out, but maybe we’re playing “The Turnaround” to subtly indicate that there’s still time for the criminal conspirators to turn back and abandon their criminal ways.

Of course, regardless of whether Brad Ingelsby invites us to participate in an episode of Task, The Mill at Rockdale is an amazing venue with an excellent sound system. On top of that, we got to know a couple of cool bands — The Ant and Ang Band and Wash, Rewash — and catch up with a few of our fans.
